General Information
The Aare Gorge is a 1400m long and 200m deep natural wonder. It is located in the Haslital, in the eastern Bernese Oberland at the foot of the Grimsel and Susten passes.[1] The Aare Gorge is a gorge near Meiringen in the Bernese Oberland in Switzerland. The Aare flows through the narrow section from Innertkirchen at the foot of the Grimsel region to the plain above Lake Brienz. The river crosses the gorge at an increased flow speed of almost 12 km/h.[2]
